Privacy Policy
Thank you for visiting our web site.
Your privacy is very important to Handster GmbH & Co. KG (called "Handster" below). Since your privacy as well as the privacy of our business clients is very important to us, your data will be treated confidentially in alignment with regulations on data protection. Your data will never be published and never be passed on to third persons. We use your data to keep you informed about our activities within your sphere of interest.
This document lets you know what data we receive from you, what we do with it and how you can change this data and bring it up-to-date.
Data collections
Every web server automatically registers every access to the web site. When you visit our web site our web server records temporarily (for reasons of system security) the following: domain name or the requesting computer's IP address, date of access, file name and URL you accessed, HTTP reply code, web site you came from as well as the bytes transferred while you were connected to us. This data is stored anonymously. Looping back to your name or behavior pattern is not possible. Individual data beyond this scope are not recorded unless, of course, this data is expressly provided by you as part of an on-line order or registration. We treat your data responsibly and within the legal limits.
Use of data
Computer related data are stored to record trends and to create statistics. This stored information is used also to identify and reconstruct illegal attempts to access our web server. We only develop anonymous profiles on the use of our web pages and only to improve user friendliness and to optimize what we offer with a view on user interests. We neither develop nor process individual profiles or similar models from this data.
We request, record and process your personal data only as far as this is needed to process your queries or orders. To aid this task we may exchange data with third persons that are involved with processing your order. We will not provide third persons with your personal data beyond this scope, unless compulsory legal regulations require us to do so or you yourself gave permission to do so.
We would like to inform you about our products and services and might survey you at times. Unless you object to this we are permitted to store user profiles (using pseudo names) for purposes of market research, promotion and adequate configuration of our services.
The personal data that you transmit (e.g. your name, your address or e-mail address) will be used by us to correspond with you by regular mail or for those purposes stated when you provided the information. We want to use your address data to keep you up-to-date on our products, services and news. For purposes of market research as well as our own promotional efforts we may contact you electronically by way of a survey on customer satisfaction.
You may of course object to us contacting you by regular surface mail (addressed to our business address) or electronic mail (addressed to our electronic contact address).
Cookies
Different technologies are used to design a web page according to your needs as well as to collect certain data. Among these technologies are so called "cookies" which serve to simplify the use of the internet and communication.
Cookies are small text files (max. 4KB in size) which our web site sends to your browser and saves on your computer to store it as an anonymous reference. The purpose of such cookies is to better control the connection while you visit our web pages and to give you better support when you come back to our web pages. Without such a temporary "clip boarding" some applications would require you to enter data again that you had already provided earlier. A cookie only contains data a server issues or/and the user provides on request (e.g. page construction: data on domain, path, expiry date, cookie name and value). Thus cookies only contain technical data, no names or similarly personal information. A cookie cannot spy on the content of a hard disk.
You can set the preferences on your web browser so that it generally suppresses the saving of cookies or set it so it allows you to decide, on an individual basis by way of a message alert, whether you want to allow the saving of a cookie. Not allowing cookies to be saved may have as a consequence that certain pages will not display correctly anymore.
Consent
By using our internet pages you consent to the storage and use of your data as described above. By entering your personal data you consent to the processing and use of those data as described above.
Your rights / contact data
Naturally we like to inform you on the use of the personal data you provided.
You have a right of access to the personal data stored on you as well as a right to correct incorrect data and to block or delete your personal data. You may object to the use of personal data for promotional purposes at any time. We wish to expressly point out that our staff is bound by confidentiality of data according to the Data Protection Law (German: Bundesdatenschutzgesetz - BDSG).
If you wish any information about your personal data, their correction or deletion, please send a mail to:
